Moment blind dog realises she’s going to the park leaves people in tears

A video of a blind dog’s reaction when she realises she’s heading to her favourite place has had people in tears.

Kida the Pyrenees had her eyes removed due to a rare autoimmune disease, but doesn’t let it affect her day to day life too much, as seen in this video.

The clip, which was uploaded by TikTok user @kidathepyr, was a smash hit on the video sharing platform, with almost seven million views and over 1.8 million likes.

In the video, viewers are shown Kida riding in the back seat of her owner’s car, with her head stuck out of the window enjoying the breeze.

The blind dog has clearly realised that she is being taken to her favourite place in the world, the park, as her tail wags enthusiastically.

She continues to stand with her head out of the window as the car gets closer to the park, with her nose and other senses working overtime to compensate for her lack of sight.

Viewers quickly fell in love with the Pyrenees, with one user commenting: “She can have my eyes I don’t need them anymore.”

Another commenter wrote: “I am a grown man who is in tears at this video. She can have my eyes.”

A third added: “Oooh this breaks my heart. I’m glad she’s being taken care of by her loving human.”

Kida has been blind since she suffered from two detached retinas, which caused her constant migraines and was a result of Uveodermatologic Syndrome.

This is a rare disease which attacks the eyes and skin, even turning fur white, although this was not an issue for the already white Pyrenees.

Kida eventually had both eyes removed around a year ago and now lives a completely normal life, enjoying walks and zooming around the yard.
